From pizza to Chinese food, no shortage of meal options can now be ordered online or via mobile device and then delivered straight to your front door.
But according to the findings presented in a new report from HighTable.com, one-quarter of the people who do place orders for food online are now ordering items classified as “fast food.”
Incredibly, almost 30% of restaurants now say online ordering is soaring and that this reality is simultaneously increasing the volume of their orders by a comparable percentage.
In fact, the popularity of digital fast food orders has proven almost too much of a burden to accommodate. 23% of commercial kitchens now claim to be bogged down with orders placed through online or mobile channels.
