India and China Behemoths Team Up for Growth Opportunities

India and China Behemoths Team Up for Growth OpportunitiesWhat’s better than one big company trying to capture the market? How about two big companies?

To wit: InMobi, the world’s most powerful mobile advertising platform, and APUS Group, the world’s biggest Android user system, just announced a long-term strategy partnership to help both companies grow big time.

“InMobi will share its vast expertise in India to help APUS establish a larger footprint in India, enabling an increased user base and market share,” said InMobi in an official press release. “In return, APUS will engage in a monetization partnership with InMobi that will result in InMobi gaining access to more than 200 million additional users across the APUS user system, with exclusive access to all APUS users in India.”

This appears to be the first such partnership between two of the fastest growing tech powerhouses from India and China.

APUS has five popular Android apps that span across launcher, browsers, booster, flashlight, and a messaging center in its portfolio — as well as more than 25 million users in India. And now is the time for the company to make a move, as the market in India is set to have more than 369 million smartphone users by 2018.

“InMobi will provide local expertise to APUS to help them understand the unique Indian app market and will aid in user acquisition programs including providing guidance localizing the APUS app experience and acquiring the right talent to help APUS India grow as APUS aims to make its app climb to the top five in the local Google Play store,” explained InMobi.

The big goal? Catapulting APUS into “becoming the leading Android user system in India by the end of 2015 and acquiring more than 80 million users in India by 2016.”

Both companies know India and China are the next fertile markets for growth.

“We are happy to partner with APUS and introduce a new, user-friendly monetization opportunity to one of the largest Android app developers,” said Naveen Tewari, CEO and Cofounder, InMobi. “And, we’re even more excited about helping the APUS apps to feel more at home across the millions of Android users in India. We believe this to be the start of an exciting chapter on how Indian and Chinese companies can partner for impressive and rapid growth.”
