With Apple releasing iOS 7 today, millions of iDevice owners will be making the upgrade to Apple’s most advanced mobile operating system to date. As a result, iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users can expect some major changes. For starters, the system’s general look and feel will be unlike anything iDevice owners have previously experienced.

On Wednesday, Google formally announced the launch of a new company called Calico. Unlike the typical Google enterprise, this effort focuses on health and well-being, in particular the challenge of aging and associated diseases.

Skype on Tuesday officially made mobile advertising a higher priority. And no one blames them for doing so. The Microsoft-owned company is introducing a rich media mobile placement for iPhone in select markets and plans to bring advertising to its Android app later this month.

The world’s largest Location-as-a-Service company is taking its commitment to helping brands optimize ROI on mobile marketing to an entirely new level. On Tuesday, the team at Locaid touted the launch of Locaid Campaigns, a location campaign management platform built to help brands and enterprises in need of location-driven marketing.
