Google is bringing its popular new group video chat tool to one of the world’s largest emerging markets for connected devices and technology.
India is the next in line for Google’s Hangouts service.
As we’ve seen in other nations that just received Hangouts, Google is simply pulling its current plugin-based Gmail video chat system and replacing it with Hangout.
Hangouts in India can be as simple as two participants or feature as many as nine chatting heads.
What’s more, with Hangouts you can watch YouTube videos with friends, collaborate on Google Docs, or play games by adding apps from the menu on the left. If you find yourself with a slow connection, just switch over to ultra low bandwidth mode to keep the conversation going.
Hangouts was first introduced in mid-2012.
