Google Touts The 12 Best Android Apps of 2012

It’s that time of year again. Google is looking back on the best Android apps of the past year.

On Friday, the Internet search giant and Android giant released a list of the 12 best Android apps of the past year. Virtually all of these top apps are currently available (many for free) on both Android phones and tablets. So if you’re yet to try them, here’s the list of the must-have apps from the past year according to Google.

  5. Pocket

  8. Fancy
  9. Mint

“These are some of the best apps available in Google Play,” writes Tavares Ford on the Google Play blog. “Some launched in 2012 while others issued updates that achieved a great combination of utility, beauty and accessibility. Almost all of them are available globally and offer a great user experience on both tablets and phones. From excellent tools to objects of beauty, each of these applications represents the best of Google Play.”
