Google Releases Update to Gmail App for iOS

Google has released an update its Gmail app for Apple’s iPhone and iPad.

The new and improved Gmail app allows users to move between conversations and messages by swiping left or right on the message body itself- without having to return to the main repository.

Additionally, reveals John Barr, Software Engineer at Google, it’s now easier to take action on multiple messages.

“Selecting a message in the inbox now enables edit mode,” Barr writes on the Official Gmail blog. “Once in edit mode, tap on messages to select them and then choose to archive, delete, or more, from the new actions bar at the top of the screen. You may select Cancel at any time to leave edit mode.”

The newest version of the Gmail app is available now for free in Apple’s App Store.
