Google on Tuesday formally unveiled a new smartphone called Pixel priced at $649.
The impressively-durable device delivers with it an array of components and features that are drawing widespread consumer interest today.
“It has the highest rated smartphone camera. Ever. A battery that lasts all day. Unlimited storage for all your photos and videos. And it’s the first phone with the Google Assistant built in,” Google says.
The new smartphone, according to VRJournal, is also billed as being ready for the virtual reality age.
“The company also announced a new virtual reality headset that connects wirelessly with the phone and connects to YouTube and Google Street View,” CNBC confirmed. “The Daydream View headset, made of comfortable fabric, comes in slate, crimson, and snow.”
Google’s Pixel phone is available for pre-order Tuesday (in the U.S., Canada, Germany, and in the UK).
