Sometimes mobile milestones are just as important to note as mobile tech breakthroughs.
Both speak to the growth of the industry, which is valuable to us all.
Today I learned that independent mobile app store GetJar has surpassed the four-hundred million app download mark. According to the official word, that amounts to a 200 percent year-over-year growth in download volume.
In addition to seeing more than 30 million consumer downloads a month, GetJar is rapidly evolving with the demand to supplement it’s already more than 20,000 unique applications available in markets including the U.S., U.K., China, India and Indonesia.
Another potentially valuable nugget emerging from this news that is GetJar also released results from a survey of more than 15,000 customers which revealed that one third of its U.S. subscribers most frequently use mobile applications just before going to bed.
