Foursquare wants to make its users happy. To that end, the location-based social networking platform made an announcement today that it is making some users very, very pleased.

Foursquare’s application has restored the friend-finder tool that was dumped two months ago.

“We’ve been listening to all your #allnew4sq feedback,” Foursquare said this morning, “and with today’s update we’re bringing back the most-missed feature: the ability to switch between nearby check-ins and all activity.”

In June, Foursquare rolled out some pretty significant changes to the user experience, particularly with regard to a newfound emphasis on personalized recommendations and user interactions.

Some established features, however, were just too popular to let go of.

As of this writing, Foursquare now has in excess of 20 million users.
