Location-based social provider Foursquare hit yet another milestone today with the announcement that the startup has hit six million total users and surpassed more than 381 million checkins.
The company’s CEO, Dennis Crowley, spoke today at Europe’s DLD conference which was capped off with the release of an infographic [embedded below] that celebrates the impressive growth the company achieved in 2010. Among the stats shared, the company said a checkin has been made in every single country in the world, plus space, and that North Korea was the last country to check in for 2010.
Interestingly, “The Rally to Restore Sanity” on October 30 was the biggest event of the year on the social service, with 30,525 checkins made in Washington, D.C. that day. In addition, California was the #1 state for gym checkins, relative to total checkins, and MTV, Bravo, the History Channel, Zagat and VH1 were the most popular brand pages.
