For the 3rd consecutive year, Apple has been ranked by Forbes as the world’s most valuable brand.
“A Forbes’ study of the top brands illustrates that the Apple name is as strong as ever,” observes report author Kurt Badenhausen.
Apple is the most valuable brand in the world for a third straight time at $104.3 billion, up 20% over last year. It is worth nearly twice as much as any other brand on the planet by our count.
Microsoft placed second with a brand worth $56.7 billion. According to Forbes, the value of Microsoft’s brand has been flat for over three years due to the company’s apparent inability to make a smooth transition from a PC to a mobile world.
Of the 100 most valuable brands spanning 15 countries on the list, brands from U.S.-based companies represent more than half the published names.
