Polaris Office, a powerhouse in the cloud office market, tells MMW that it is expanding to desktop and is launching in the U.S. market through the general availability of its new cloud-based productivity suite.
The company’s productivity suite “breaks down the siloes of traditional office ecosystems” by offering powerful office productivity functionality such as file viewing, sophisticated editing and sync-and-share capabilities across multiple platforms and devices.
The barrier-free solution combines access to popular applications such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, and OneDrive all on one centralized platform.
In response to enterprises’ increasingly distributed workforces and the need for cross-functional, collaborative productivity software solutions, Polaris Office developed its next-generation, cloud-based productivity suite to combine the convenience of Google Docs with the deep functionality of Microsoft Office, the company says.
Polaris Office is a fully-integrated software solution, enabling collaboration across existing cloud storage platforms like Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive and compatibility with .doc, .xls, .ppt, and .pdf file types. The office software suite has acquired over 37 million users worldwide since its launch in 2014 in various markets including Korea and China.
