While largely flying beneath the radar last week as Facebook made much bigger headlines with its acquisition of Oculus (click here for MMW’s coverage), the social networking gargantuan also found time in recent days to release a new update for its Facebook Messenger application for iOS.
The latest update brings the popular messaging client up to version 4.0.
This time around, the refreshed Facebook Messenger application lets users create new groups for the individuals that they message most frequently on Facebook. Best of all, Facebook says the groups are configurable, which enables users to customize the names of the groups, set the pictures for the icons of the groups, and subsequently access them through a single interface.
Additionally, the new and improved Facebook Messenger even allows users to forward messages or photos to people not in a particular conversation.
