Facebook has just released version 9.0 of its Facebook app for iOS. The new update comes just weeks after version 8.0 arrived.
In version 9.0, Facebook has bestowed the ability reply to comments on stories within the application. Previously, this wasn’t possible (and Facebook users often complained about it).
Facebook, however, explains that the page sharing the story has to enable this particular feature for users to reply to comments in this way.
Additionally, the refresh makes it possible for group admins to review and approve pending posts by group members. You can even see posts about trending topics highlighted in News Feed on iPad.
Fortunately, Facebook hasn’t yet yanked the integrated messaging feature, although they do plan to do just that in the future as a means to get more people to use the standalone Facebook Messenger application for iOS.
