Video game giant Electronic Arts is in talks with Microsoft to bring mobile games to the next version of Windows.

EA reportedly sees the operating system “as central to its handset strategy.”

A new report from Bloomberg Monday delved deeper into this significant mobile gaming development.

“We’re working very closely with Microsoft to understand what their views on gaming navigation are,” EA Chief Operating Officer Peter Moore said this week in an interview. “Anything that allows more platforms to be adopted quickly that have a gaming element is good for Electronic Arts.”

EA is now the second- largest U.S. video-game maker. And the company sees Microsoft’s refreshed Windows platform as being critical to where mobile gaming is heading.

“It is important to attract the gamers and due to Windows Phone 8’s relation to the classical Windows PC programs, it is a good platform for game developers,” Robert Jakobsen, an analyst at Jyske Bank tells Bloomberg. “This is clearly a step forward for Microsoft’s mobile operation system.”

Electronic Arts are good in the task of game applications development. By creating apps for Microsoft's new phone they will only earn profit while Microsoft can make some position in the market of smart phone industry.
