eBay Classifieds Aims to Boost Mobile and Tablet YieldMMW has learned that eBay Classifieds has just partnered up with adMarketplace, a programmatic marketplace for search advertising and the largest search advertising marketplace outside of Google and Yahoo/Bing.

adMarketplace becomes eBay Classified’s “exclusive primary search monetization partner.”

The goal, of course, is to provide an improved search experience for site visitors on both mobile and tablet devices.

“Specifically, eBay Classifieds wanted a way to increase click-through-rate (CTR) – a key indicator for ad relevance, and adMarketplace delivered,” a provided statement reads.

Over the past six months, adMarketplace has delivered monthly CTR growth of 10 percent for the site, which performs particularly well for advertisers in the pet, retail, automotive and real estate verticals. These CTR gains have resulted in a 49.8 percent increase in eBay Classifieds’ yield as measured by effective CPM.
