comScore Sees Spike in Online Gambling Related Traffic

comScore Sees Spike in Online Gambling Related TrafficAs our sister site mGamingWatch first reported, comScore has just released its monthly ranking of U.S. web activity at the top online properties for September 2013 based on data from the comScore Media Metrix service.

“Schools were officially back in session in September,” comScore reports, “causing traffic to jump at Education and Retail sites. Major news developments around the impending U.S. government shutdown had Americans visiting the Political News category for the latest coverage.”

But online gambling was also on the minds of Americans.

Between August and September, online gambling saw a 5% spike in total unique visitors, as illustrated by the data published this week.
