Colibria is the latest entrant in the growing and increasingly competitive app business.
Colibria has developed an “App Center” that will allow mobile operators to “deploy multiple applications through their existing messaging infrastructure.”
In a nutshell, using only one interface, Colibria App Center can deliver applications to mobile devices (the apps include everything from Twitter and Google Talk, to Facebook and flick).
As is quickly becoming the norm, the App Center is compatible for most handsets, even those not classified as smartphones.
So far, Colibria is in good company with other independent App Store entrants like GetJar, which only recently topped 400 million app downloads.
