Modo Labs, Inc., provider of a leading mobile engagement platform for universities and corporations that helps both technical and non-technical staff quickly create campus and enterprise apps, has just announced that it will be hosting a first-of-its-kind app development event for students at Arizona State University, Florida State University, The George Washington University, Harvard University and the University of Notre Dame.
We’re told that The Great Mobile Appathon will take place in October, and challenge students from all majors and with any level of technical skill, to create innovative mobile apps that will enhance campus life at their college or university.
Students are being encouraged to create apps on anything from academic advising, to student social forums and events, to financial tips and tricks, and will be limited only by their creativity.
Modo Labs launched this competition as a way to show students that “mobile app development is not limited only to those with coding skills.”
