2013 may deliver two new iPhone models from Apple. According to purportedly credible sources speaking with the Chinese press ahead of the weekend, Apple has put in motion trial production of both the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 6.
A source told Chinese mobile phone information site Laoyaoba.com that he has seen the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 at Apple’s suppliers. Both models may be released in 2013, according to the website’s microblog on Thursday evening.
For months we’ve been hearing that Apple wants to refresh the iPhone more than just once annually, giving consumers more options in the same way that multiple Android devices are released within one year.
“The source noted that the iPhone 5S resembles the iPhone 5, and the five-inch iPhone 6 is lighter and thinner,” the BrightWire report reads.
Speculation regarding the two looming new iPhone models first surfaced in Sina Tech, which is the technology-related news division of the major Chinese news organization Sina.com.
