Reporters are keeping watch of Casio this week in Las Vegas as the company brought its latest offerings to the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show.
Casio is showing off an extended portfolio of products on the convention floor, including a few surprising creations.
“This year, Casio’s booth at the 2015 International CES show will highlight a variety of new products that were imagined and brought to life by combining innovative thinking with the company’s long history of delivering electronics products,” said Shigenori Itoh, CEO of Casio America. “From Hybrid GPS timepieces to freestyle cameras to on-the-go DJ equipment, Casio’s CES products will raise the bar for creative innovation.”
So what’s Casio showing off? Among timepieces, the booth’s main exhibit will showcase Casio’s array of men’s timepieces, including the G-SHOCK, EDIFICE and Oceanus collections. Among cameras, the latest addition to the EXILIM family of digital cameras, the EX-FR10, is on hand. The camera boasts a “modular construction” that can be separated easily into two parts—the camera unit and the LCD-equipped controller—making it possible to take various kinds of interesting shots including self-portraits and group shots.
Lastly, Casio is also touting new electronic musical instruments. Casio’s latest “Trackformer series” of DJ equipment, for example, purportedly lets aspiring DJ’s and musicians “emulate their favorite DJs and producers.”
