According to an announcement late last week, one of the nation’s leading providers of mobile point of sale (mPOS) solutions has been selected and deployed as the mobile credit card processing solution of choice to support Camp Masters Popcorn sales across the U.S.

By adding mobile credit card processing to their sales arsenal, Boy Scout Councils and Units selling Camp Masters Popcorn may be able to boost sales and capture transactions from customers who do not have cash readily available.

The payments solution in question is PayAnywhere, which is fast becoming one of the nation’s most pervasive and trusted mobile payment processing platforms .

“My son sold more than $10,000 of Camp Masters Gormet Popcorn when he was a Scout and I know he could have raised more money for his troop if he were able to accept credit cards,” says Gene Schenberg, vice president of sales at PayAnywhere. “I’ve seen first-hand the immediate positive impact that PayAnywhere can have on an organization’s ability to fundraise. By putting the easy-to-use PayAnywhere app and reader in the hands of organizations who are selling Camp Masters Popcorn we know they can improve their sales volumes by as much as 50 percent.”

The PayAnywhere mobile credit card reader is a small accessory that plugs into the audio jack of smartphones and tablets, transforming them into mobile payment terminals that can swipe credit cards to process payments.

Used together with the PayAnywhere mobile app, the reader transforms an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, most Android smartphones or tablets, or BlackBerry smartphones into mobile point of sale terminals.
