BilltoMobile ‘Discover’s New Parter for Mobile Payments

On Tuesday, BilltoMobile confirmed that the company has entered into a marketing agreement with Discover, a relationship that will open the doors to new opportunities for customers and the companies involved.

Both BilltoMobile and Discover will be able to drive greater market-leading innovation and value in what BilltoMobile calls a “rapidly-evolving digital goods, mCommerce, and mobile payments space.”

The agreement includes allowing Discover to offer mobile carrier billing to select Discover e-commerce merchants looking to generate incremental revenue through alternative payments options.

“This agreement with Discover enables BilltoMobile to better serve our consumers, merchants and carrier partners,” says Jim Greenwell, BilltoMobile’s CEO. “Our product offering will expand as will the ability to serve marquee digital merchants.”

Of course, making bold moves in the mobile payments space is nothing new for BilltoMobile. After all, just last September, BilltoMobile became the first outfit to secure direct-to-carrier payment deals with all four major U.S. operators: Verizon Wireless, AT&T, Sprint Nextel and T-Mobile USA.
