IBM has lifted the veil on several new attribute of its ‘Bluemix OpenWhisk,’ which is hailed as an event-driven programming model which utilizes Docker containers.
As first reported by MAW, IMB asserts that the new tools let developers build “feature-rich, intuitive apps which easily connect into the Internet of Things.”
The offerings also let devs “tap into advanced services such as cognitive, analytics and more — without the need to deploy and manage extra infrastructure.”
The new tools, NPM Module and Node-RED, will enable developers to more rapidly build event-driven apps, which automatically execute user code in response to external actions and events.
As for the release of the updates? We’re told to expect them soon.
