Best Buy Giving Samsung The Red Carpet Retail Treatment

Samsung is getting its very own in-store mini-store at Best Buy outlets around the country.

Beginning with retail stores with the highest foot traffic, Best Buy will give the Galaxy S4-maker an Apple-style mini-store where a broad display of Samsung products will be prominently stationed.

“Starting next month,” writes Russell Holly of Geek.com, “you may find that Best Buy employees are much more inclined to offer you a Samsung product from their new Samsung section in the mobile department.”

An unnamed list of Best Buy stores have already been given instructions to remove two aisles next to their mobile department to prepare for the installation of the new Samsung mini-stores.

This new section will be dressed in large Samsung signage and offer custom demo stations for many of Samsung’s products. Locations with the new section will be issuing special training sessions for employees in the mobile department, focusing heavily on how to show off Samsung-specific features.

Best Buy purportedly plans to eventually introduce a Samsung store within every Best Buy outlet in the United States.
