Barker is barking up digital marketing’s tree more aggressively than ever.
The advertising and interactive agency has just acquired BrandWire, a digital marketing agency based in New York City.
A statement provided to MMW indicates that the acquisition enhances Barker’s digital marketing offerings while adding several international prestige brands to the firm’s client roster.
“What attracted us to BrandWire was not merely the additional expertise in outbound digital marketing and SEM, but specifically the prestige of these blue chip clients,” says John Barker, President and Chief Idea Officer of Barker.
“Roche Bobois, Letarte and Jacadi each represent the pinnacle of quality in their respective categories, and adding these admired brands to our roster reaffirms Barker’s strategic commitment to luxury and prestige brands as one of our primary practice areas,” he continues.
The acquisition, Barker notes, follows a “marquee past year” for the company, in which the agency received more than 30 international advertising awards for creative and high-impact campaigns.
