AT&T Turns on LTE in Eight New Markets Thursday

Just when you thought AT&T was finished expanding 4G LTE for 2012, the nation’s second largest carrier stepped forward today and accelerated the network’s 4G expansion even more.

According to today’s announcement, the eight new locations with access to high-speed LTE data include:

  • Little Rock, Arkansas
  • Pullman, Washington
  • Moscow, Idaho
  • Hattiesburg, Mississippi
  • Starkville, Mississippi
  • Allentown, Pennsylvania
  • Reno, Nevada
  • Richmond, Virginia

AT&T says its 4G network now covers more than 285 million people, although the so-called “coverage war” is still be won by Verizon’s LTE network.
