AT&T Inks Deal with EE Over 4G LTE RoamingRecently, AT&T inked an agreement with Rogers in Canada to offer 4G LTE roaming to its customers visiting Canada.

But the carrier’s expansionary aims have now taken AT&T into Europe.

The nation’s second largest carrier has secured 4G LTE roaming agreements with the U.K.-based EE. AT&T customers can enjoy 4G LTE cellular roaming services in the U.K.

EE confirmed the partnership this week, explaining that the deal’s provisions will take effect early in the new year.

As of this writing, EE is the UK’s biggest and fastest 4G network, and will cover more than 160 towns and cities by the end of 2013.

“Technology is not just shaping how people book and research holidays; but what they look for when they are choosing a country to visit,” says Olaf Swantee, EE’s CEO. “From finding their way to local landmarks, to avoiding the Oxford street crowds by shopping on their tablet, tourists are increasingly looking for fast and reliable mobile experiences when they travel abroad.”
