AT&T announced Wednesday morning that another seven cities in the United States are now covered under the carrier’s 4G LTE cellular coverage.
The new markets include:
- Columbia, Missouri
- Greenville, Alabama
- Merced, California
- New London, Connecticut
- Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
- Troy, Alabama
- Vallejo, California
“Our 4G LTE network is the fastest and the most reliable in the nation, and deployment is ahead of schedule,” Randall Stephenson, AT&T chairman and CEO, said during his company’s earnings call this week. “That contributed to a step-up in postpaid subscriber gains, and strong mobile data revenue growth of nearly 20 percent. Growth in U-verse and strategic business services also continued to be strong — adding to our momentum.”
AT&T sold a record 6.8 million smartphones last quarter.
