AT&T Expands 4G LTE Across Midwest, South, and the West Coast

Living up to its summertime pledge to dramatically boost 4G LTE network access for its subscribers, AT&T has just confirmed that more markets are now in the green on 4G LTE cellular coverage.

On Wednesday, the carrier announced that seven additional locations in the United States can now tap into the power of AT&T’s 4G LTE cellular network.

Those lucky seven new markets include:

  • Brainerd Lakes, Minnesota
  • Grand Rapids, Minnesota
  • Hot Springs, Arkansas
  • Jackson County, Georgia
  • Minot, North Dakota
  • Mount Vernon, Ohio
  • Visalia, California

4G LTE serves up a theoretical download speed of around 100Mb/s; however, due to the unfortunate realities of network congestion, the download speeds on 4G LTE tend to be closer to 20-60Mb/s.
