Apple Sees Record Retail Sales on Black Friday

Black Friday was, apparently, very, very good to Apple.

Despite a less than vigorously healthy economy, Apple’s retail sales on Black Friday this year were stellar. In fact, Apple may have seen its single greatest day of retail sales in company history the day after Thanksgiving, which is hyped as the biggest day for retail in the United States each year.

An Apple retail source speaking with 9to5Mac revealed Sunday that Apple’s sales on Friday were unprecedented.

Apple Retail was forecast and broke Retail sales records all over the country today, this is from [redacted] today, the forecast today is more than 4 times what we normally do. We broke the forecast by 7pm.

iPad prices were said to be the biggest draw, but MacBook Air sales were similarly “off the charts” based on what Apple sources reveal.

Since Apple rarely discounts any products, when Black Friday brings along an opportunity to get a new Mac or iPad at a reduced price, the masses respond.

All signs now point to Apple blowing estimates out of the water during the company’s next quarterly earnings report. Between iPhone 4S sales and a holiday shopping blitz of epic proportions, the tech team in Cupertino will finish out the year rolling in cash.
