Following a tidal wave of new iPad sales last month upon the release of the iPad mini and the 4th generation iPad, Apple is now tells its user base that the cellular-capable iPad mini is about to ship.
On Friday, Apple had begun notifying a large number of its users (via email) that the iPad mini with 3G/4G LTE network capabilities will begin shipping in just five days.
Apple, which began delivering Wi-Fi only iPad mini models last week, sold through its initial inventory of release weekend supply. And there’s no telling how quickly a similar fate will befall the cellular-ready iPad mini.
Today, Apple also has some degree of reason for additional excitement, as shares of AAPL have snapped a recent downswing.
As of this writing, AAPL has climbed back above $550 as the stock regains better than $12 in the final day of trading this week.
