Apple Rumored to Kill The iPod touch

Apple has a mighty long list of new products to begin assembling. From the iPad mini to the red-hot iPhone 5, Apple’s production and supply chain has never before seen such pressure. And, as a result, the company may have to dramatically alter its production priorities in the months ahead.

On Wednesday, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities proposed that Apple could soon discontinue its iPod touch line in order to ease some of the aforementioned production burden.

According to Kuo and his sources, the iPod touch has probably “entered the final stage of its product life cycle.”

Kuo, and others in the tech space, increasingly believe that between the iPhone and iPad lines, the need for new and refreshed iPod touches will not be essential to the future of Apple’s growth.
