The FOX network has confirmed that “24” is returning as a 12-episode miniseries dubbed “24: Live Another Day.”
According to the network’s announcement, the series will follow Kiefer Sutherland’s lead character – Jack Bauer – as he presumably attempts to stop another terrorist plot from unfolding on U.S. soil.
We’re told the 12 episodes will span a full 24 hour day but each show will cover a two hour timeframe.
Speculation surrounding the return of the critically-acclaimed series has increased since the recent publication of Kiefer Sutherland: 24/7 An Unauthorized Biography, a popular best seller with fans of the iconic show.
A source close to FOX tells MMW on Monday that talks have already begun with regard to the type of smartphone Bauer’s character will be using on the new season of “24.”
Whether Apple or Samsung gets their smartphone into Kiefer Sutherland’s hands for the new season will probably be decided by the marketing executives at FOX.
