Apple and Samsung Fall Short of Agreement

Apple and Samsung have failed to reach an amicable resolution to their ongoing patent war.

Court ordered negotiations have failed, according to published reports this week.

As Mobile Marketing Watch has previously noted, Apple and Samsung were recently told by Judge Lucy Koh to engage in involuntary talks to help expedite a resolution to the dispute.

Although both parties were said to be cooperative, nothing positive came from the talks.

The Korea Times was the first to confirm a failed negotiation process.

Apple and Samsung were said to have “held firm” in their respective arguments. Samsung, for example, demands that Apple pay royalties for using its wireless transmission technology.

On the other hand, Apple maintains that Samsung misused Apple’s technology and intellectual properties.
