According to knowledgeable sources in Apple’s supply and manufacturing chains across Asia, the eagerly anticipated iPhone 6 will pack the most powerful battery of any previous generation iPhone.
The leak comes on the heels of a recent Samsung ad that attacks the iPhone’s inadequate battery life (when compared to Samsung’s smartphone alternatives).
If the sources are indeed knowledgeable, the 4.7″ iPhone 6 model delivers a 15% battery length improvement over the current generation iPhone 5s.
“iPhone 6 will come with a battery sized somewhere between 1800 and 1900mAh,” Sam Loveridge of Trusted Reviews says, referring to Chinese media sources. “The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C both feature a 1570mAh battery, so jumping up to 1800/1900mAh would be quite an increase, if the screen wasn’t being enhanced in size and resolution too.”
Most industry analysts and Apple watchers expect the iPhone 6 to drop in late September.
