Keeping track of business receipts is now as easy as taking a picture, says American Express.

AMEX OPEN has announced the launch of ReceiptMatch, a new feature included as a part of every Business Card from American Express OPEN that matches images of Business Card receipts to transactions on online credit card statements.

Small business owners and their employees no longer have to sort through piles of receipts, manually reconcile them with charges on their statement or rely on hand written notes.

With ReceiptMatch, AMEX touts, all that is required is taking a picture of a Business Card receipt with an iPhone or Android phone and the app matches the receipt image to the appropriate line item in the business’ online statement, including any additional notes typed in.

In addition to the mobile app, Business Cardmembers can even have receipts matched to their statement by emailing them to a designated address.

“Our small business customers rely on their OPEN Business Cards for a greater portion of their business expenses and want a Card that seamlessly integrates into their business operations,” explains Doug Tabish, VP of American Express OPEN Small Business Charge Cards. “ReceiptMatch offers concise back-office support and is the only expense management solution that gives business owners the ability to match each expense to their OPEN Business Card statement.”

Mobile tools are more at demand now a days as with the growing demand of the apps and devices all at the same time with the steady rate. Its good to have applications usage rather than to have the inpremises software which may be of less demand in terms of the go.
With the moving pace my kinda expense reporting app is purely cloud based and helps manage the reporting part even if I am on a tour. Its basically an app from Replicon – http://www.replicon.com/olp/expense-reports.aspx that has functionalities dumped on and helps manage the reporting done up in a smooth fashion and strategy.
