According to the findings of a new consumer satisfaction survey published Tuesday, Amazon is squarely in charge as the top destination for mobile shoppers.
Analytics firm ForeSee says Amazon scored 85 points out of a possible 100 in terms of being ranked as a favorite mobile shopping hub.
The survey results in question were derived from consumer feedback provided by 6,200 consumers between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2012.
Apple managed to tie with shopping network QVC for second place. Both scored an impressive 83 on the survey scale.
NewEgg and Victoria’s Secret placed fourth and fifth, respectively, to round out the top five mobile shopping hot spots.
“The mobile platform is maturing much faster than the PC platform,” says Larry Freed, president and CEO of ForeSee. “We see it in the rate of consumer adoption, and fortunately we are seeing it in how well the top retailers are adapting to multichannel consumers who are embracing yet another powerful tool.”
“But retailers shouldn’t get too comfortable because change is just about the only thing you can count on,” Freed adds. “Consumers expect retailers to provide a consistent and seamless experience, regardless of the channel.”
