Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch has resigned and will leave the company this Friday, an announcement from Adobe confirmed today.
Adobe’s outgoing CTO is headed for Apple, where he will become the new VP of technology reporting directly to Senior Vice President Bob Mansfield.
“Kevin Lynch, Adobe CTO, is leaving the company effective March 22 to take a position at Apple,” Adobe announced today, indicating that Apple must no longer despise Adobe so much that it’s resistant to hiring it’s top talent.
Adobe says it does not plan to replace Lynch in the CTO position. Responsibility for technology development will rest on other leaders in the division.
Apple hasn’t yet confirmed Lynch’s employment, although an announcement is expected sometime early next week.
