Yahoo has something big to announce. And that announcement could come as early as today.
Sources quoted by Re/Code note that Yahoo may lift the veil on a new mobile app this week at a New York-based event.
“While it’s not clear what that product might be, sources said it was mobile in focus,” Re/code says in a particularly short report. “That could mean a redo of its Tumblr or Flickr app, perhaps in the manner that Google’s YouTube just unveiled at VidCon with new tools for video editing.”
With Yahoo making mobile a higher priority in all that it does today, news of a major mobile effort comes as a surprise to no one.
And soon we shall know what the latest enterprise involves.
