From Steve Jobs to Elon Musk, there’s no shortage of inspiring leaders past and present to pump up the imaginations and hopes of a new generation of entrepreneurs.
But you may want to add another name to the long list of inspiring folks motivating today’s youngest crop of entrepreneurs — Ronda Rousey.
“People in business can learn a lot from her,” says Ian Fineman, the bestselling author who’s latest work is entitled “Ronda Rousey: Words to Live and Fight By.”
According to Fineman, Rousey’s history of overcoming obstacle after obstacle is illustrative to those struggling to succeed as an entrepreneur.
From sustaining brain damage at birth, to losing her father to suicide at age 8, Ronda Rousey’s greatest fights in life have taken place far outside of the octagon, where she first rose to fame as the UFC’s most illustrious female fighter.
“Rousey is somebody who has been hit harder by life than any opponent,” he says, having chronicled Rousey’s personal and professional setbacks in his new book. “Entrepreneurs can learn a lot about fighting their way out of a bind from her example.”
