Twitter Tweaks Embedded Tweets

On Tuesday, microblogging king Twitter unveiled an update to its embedded tweets.

“Today,” posted Brian Ellin, a Product Manager at Twitter, “we’re introducing several enhancements that make embedded Tweets more engaging, useful and fast: More content and context.”

Thanks to the update, embedded Tweets now display photos, videos, article summaries and other content shared in a Tweet, just as one would view on the twitter website.

Twitter says you can also view retweet and favorite counts to better understand engagement. Design elements have even been improved so that embedded tweets are easier to read.

In addition to making embedded tweets show up faster on the sites you visit, Twitter maintains that it has never been simpler than it is now to embed tweets.

“It’s now even easier to embed a Tweet on your own website,” Ellin says, “Just click the ‘More’ button in any Tweet on, and then select “Embed this Tweet” to enrich your blog posts or pages. You can do the same on TweetDeck.

If you use embedded Tweets frequently, Twitter wants you to check out these helpful tips.
