Time Warner Reportedly Planning Something Big with Apple TV

Time Warner Reportedly Planning Something Big with Apple TVAccording to the scuttlebutt around Cupertino, California this Friday morning, Time Warner Cable is working on an application for the Apple TV set-top box.

Soon, Time Warner may allow cable subscribers to stream both live and on-demand shows without the need to have a dedicated cable box.

This would, for the first time, bring the full familiarity of cable television to a leading streaming service.

The new software in the works will “effectively add an Apple layer on top of the TV screen,” The New York Times reports.

Apple’s own programming guide will purportedly deliver an experience that is “far superior” to anything Time Warner is capable of delivering independently of Apple.

Stay tuned.
