Mobile advertising is undergoing a rapid transformation as we speak.
In fact, by next year, many of the ads that cross our small screen may hardly b identifiable as ads on first notice. With native advertising finding its way to smartphone and tablet screens with greater frequency, the era of the incongruous mobile banner ad may finally be fading away.
To that end, earlier this week Appia launched something called Discovery Ads, a “native ad” format for mobile websites and applications that “allows Publishers to offer ads that more seamlessly integrate into their content.”
Discovery Ads are fully customizable to match the look and feel of an app or site making them native to the experience. This unique approach also allows publishers to drive higher revenue while maintaining a cohesive user experience.
“Discovery Ads represent the next generation in mobile advertising formats that we’re confident our customers will be excited to use,” said Jud Bowman, CEO of Appia. “At Appia, we’re consistently looking for new ways to create the best user experience while driving further mobile monetization for both advertisers and publishers. Discovery Ads promise real-time performance insight that will create optimized mobile user acquisition.”
