Report: Windows 8 Needs to Get The Bugs Out

All is not flawless in the land of Windows 8.

According to a recent swarm of user complaints, an untold but growing number of Windows Phone 8 users say their devices are hitting some glitches in their daily performance.

In particular, Windows 8 phones are being impacted by random reboots and freezes.

Across the Internet today, posts on various forums suggest that the underlying problems may be growing more common. Tech Crunch points to one Nokia support forum thread on the Lumia 920 freezing. That particular thread now spans multiple pages.

It is unclear exactly what is triggering the problems — and whether they are related or down to specific issues with different handsets, although since multiple handsets from different makers are involved a problem relating to the OS seems most likely.

MMW will keep you posted on the matter as potential fixes are explored. For now, if you’ve experienced reboots and freezes with your Windows 8 phone, please share your experience with a comment below.
