Opera Software is ready to unveil its much-anticipated Opera Mobile 9.7 server-accelerated browser for smartphones and mobile devices during the upcoming CTIA Wireless 2009 event.
For carriers, Opera Mobile 9.7 with Opera Turbo provides “a more consistent and compelling full Internet experience” by compressing data up to 80%, thus reducing unwanted traffic and congestion and allowing users to access the Web regardless of network limitations.
Additionally, Opera Turbo offloads web page rendering to Opera servers, freeing up device resources.
Another standout is that the Opera Mobile 9.7 browser features Opera’s Presto 2.2 rendering engine and full support for web technologies like Ajax and Flash along with support for the Google Gears open source browser extension.
