When it comes to the top mobile advertising networks and related companies, some of the names are instantly familiar, while others may not be as well-known.
On Venture Beat’s new ranking of the top dogs in this emerging industry, Facebook and Google, for example, are among the preeminent companies of our time. Other companies recognized include the more low-key players like Chartboost, HasOffers, InMobi, and SponsorPay.
Advertising companies have to adhere to a few criteria in order to be numbered among the best (at least with regard to Venture Beat’s standards). Not only do they have to be easy to install and use, they also have to bring in tangible and measurable results. They must be widely used and respected in the public marketplace. The best companies all seem to either funnel the users who tap or click on an ad either to an app store, where the individual can purchase a relevant app, or to the company’s landing page.
Facebook and Tapjoy prefer the landing page, while most others direct to the app store.
Because all of these companies seem to excel or lack in one particular area, it is difficult to decide who the one true king of mobile advertising is. But according to VentureBeat, choosing one of these companies on their list for your mobile ad needs is a safe bet.
