Despite a bumpy debut on Wall Street, Millennial Media is still hanging tough and making gains in the increasingly competitive world of mobile advertising.
Having recently announced a number of new premium video ad formats, including Sync, Toggle and Ticker, developers and mobile advertisers remained interested in the potential and promise of profitability from MM.
“It’s not just hype; it’s here,” says Mollie Spilman, Millennial Media’s exec VP-global sales and marketing, when asked what the future of mobile advertising holds.
“Other media won’t go away, but I think that mobile will help make every other medium better,” she adds. “So we continue to evangelize that the medium is job No. 1, and to be part of the app economy in helping developers make money.”
When it comes to money, the spotlight will soon be on Millennial Media again next month as investors check in to see how the mobile advertising giant performed during the most recent quarter.
MM confirms that it will hold its quarterly conference call to discuss its 2013 second quarter financial results on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
Chief Executive Officer Paul Palmieri and Chief Financial Officer Michael Avon will host the call.
Millennial Media will release its 2013 second quarter financial results that day after the market close.
