This week, Microsoft quietly released an iOS application for its Socl social networking platform.
Socl – which is pronounced “social” – is a relatively innovative service that lets users create, among other things, picture collages and animated media that can then be shared with Socl friends (or even on other social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Tumblr).
According to Microsoft, it takes all but a matter of seconds to make visual collages and memes. For those inclined to do so, users can also create visual responses to other people’s works of art.
Of course, those not into making these visual goodies can simply share other creations found
If you want to learn more, the app is officially available now at no charge from Microsoft through the Apple App Store.
Socl requires iOS 5.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch (although it is optimized for the iPhone 5).
