Apple’s new iOS 7 has been available for only a week but it already accounts for more than half of iOS web share in North America.
According to the latest data from Chitika’s online advertising network, 52% of traffic from devices running iOS in the United States and Canada now originates from iPhones, iPads and iPods on iOS 7.
This is a 20% jump in the five days since the firm’s last report released 48 hours after iOS 7 was launched.
By the afternoon of September 25th, 2013, one week following the release of iOS 7, over 51% of North American iOS-based Web traffic was generated by iOS 7 users, again outpacing iOS 6 over the same time period.
Apple’s iOS 7 works with iPhones dating back to the iPhone 4, however, older models do not support all of the features native to iOS 7.
